“Unveil Honor Play 8T with 6,000mAh Battery and Dual Cameras”

Exciting news about the Honor Play 8T

Honor is gearing up for a launch tomorrow, October 18, with a new smartphone dubbed the Honor Play 8T. This device boasts a hefty 6,000mAh battery, and customers can choose from a memory variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. On the rear, you’ll find a dual-camera setup, with the primary sensor boasting an impressive 50 megapixels.

The official image release has also confirmed the presence of a single front-facing camera, discreetly tucked behind a punch hole. Interestingly, the Play 8T shares a lot of its features, including its 850 nits brightness, with the Honor Play 50 Plus. While the two phones have different external designs, they share identical hardware under the hood. It seems like one model may be destined for online sales in China, while the other could be aimed at brick-and-mortar retail stores.

This isn’t the first time Honor has adopted this approach. Previous iterations of both variants followed a similar pattern. For example, the Honor Play 7T and Honor Play 40 Plus were essentially the same, with the primary distinction often being the chipset’s name, even if it was the same Dimensity product.

The Honor Play 50 Plus was previously introduced with a price tag of CNY1,399, which is equivalent to less than $200. The Honor Play 8T is expected to fall into a similar price range, and we’ll get the exact pricing details during tomorrow’s much-anticipated event.
